Walking Through the Snow on Huangshan Mountain, Battling for the Summit of Guangming | Huakai Electronics’ Winter Team-Building Event

To foster a strong team spirit, appreciate the magnificent landscapes of our motherland, and enhance employees’ physical health, Nanjing Huakai Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. organized a team-building and outdoor activity for its employees from December 15 to 16, taking them to Huangshan City in Anhui Province. There, they will admire the distinctive Huizhou-style architecture, learn about the spirit of the Huizhou merchants, savor the rich cultural heritage, and climb the famous Mount Huangshan.
DAY 1
Explore the Simple and Rustic, Visit Hongcun
If Suzhou and Hangzhou are the misty, rainy Jiangnan, then Huizhou is undoubtedly the ink-wash Jiangnan. On the first day of our team-building excursion, we started from the ancient village of Nanping, then visited Shou Zhuo Garden—the former residence of Tao Yuanming—and finally made our way to Hongcun, an ancient residential village in Huizhou.
In Nanping, we saw misty ink-wash landscapes under a light drizzle, visited a ancestral hall that has stood for over 500 years, felt the warm hospitality of the local people, and savored the region’s signature delicacies.

Shou Zhuo Garden is located on the site of Chiling Village (Tao Village). It has been restored and rebuilt with distinctive Huizhou-style architecture. In Shou Zhuo Garden, we witness the preservation of ancient buildings, gain insight into local customs and traditions, feel the enduring spirit of Tao Yuanming being both preserved and developed, and come to appreciate simplicity and genuineness.

As a representative of Huizhou-style ancient architecture, Hongcun vividly and realistically showcases the harmonious unity of people, buildings, and the local topography—featuring white walls, blue tiles, and horse-head walls. At the same time, in Hongcun, we can sense the continuation and evolution of the Huizhou merchant spirit.

DAY 2
Braving wind and snow, I climb Mount Huangshan.
Since ancient times, the breathtaking beauty and rugged magnificence of Mount Huangshan have been praised by countless scholars and literati. During the Ming Dynasty, the traveler Xu Xiake once lauded Mount Huangshan, saying: “After visiting the Five Great Mountains, one no longer cares for other mountains; after visiting Mount Huangshan, one no longer cares for the Five Great Mountains themselves.” In the Song Dynasty, the literary giant Su Shi extolled Mount Huangshan, remarking: “There are many extraordinary mountains in the world, but Mount Huangshan is truly the most extraordinary of them all.”
In Huangshan, we encountered the first snowfall of this winter. As far as the eye could see, the mountains and the sky were all blanketed in white—a vast expanse of pure whiteness. The forests resembled an ocean, with jade-like trees adorned with sparkling flowers.
On the mountain-climbing journey, the colleagues from Hua Kai Electronics braved hardships, climbed the Hundred-Step Ladder, crossed Bai'e Ridge, and reached the summit—Guangming Peak—leaving behind precious memories.
